1. Information We Collect




Information You Provide Directly



We collect information you provide when you use the Services or otherwise communicate with us. For example:


  • Account creation: name and email address.

  • Billing: limited billing details (e.g., payment token or billing address) processed by our payment provider.

  • In-app inputs: income, expenses, financial goals, notes, and other planning data you enter.

  • Support/communications: your name, email, and the content of your messages.




Information You Provide via Plaid Integration



If you connect bank, card, loan, investment, or payroll accounts, we use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to securely access your financial data.


  • Plaid collects data from your financial institutions and shares it with Forecast AI.

  • Data may include account balances, transactions, account type, institution name, and related metadata.

  • Forecast AI never sees or stores your banking credentials. You provide them directly to Plaid, which returns tokenized access.

Information from Other Sources



We may receive information from:


  • Payment processors (to confirm payment status or prevent fraud).

  • Analytics/security providers (to understand usage and protect the Services).

  • SSO providers (Google/Apple): we receive your name, email, and an SSO identifier if you use social sign-in.




Automatically Collected Information



We and our service providers may collect:


  • Device info: browser, OS, device model, IP, and identifiers.

  • Usage info: pages/screens viewed, actions taken, session duration, crash logs, app version.

  • Location: approximate location from IP (or precise location if you grant permission).
    We use cookies, SDKs, logs, and similar technologies. See Section 3.






2. How We Use Your Information



We use information to:


  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services (including account connections and forecasts).

  • Secure accounts; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud/abuse and technical issues.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide support.

  • Personalize experiences and develop new features.

  • Communicate about updates, changes, and offers (you can opt out of marketing).

  • Analyze trends and performance.

  • Comply with laws and enforce terms.

  • Carry out any other purpose disclosed to you or with your consent.



We may create aggregated/de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you and use or share it for lawful business purposes.





3. Cookies and Similar Technologies



We and our providers use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar tools to:


  • Enable core functionality (authentication, preferences);

  • Measure performance and improve usability;

  • Detect security incidents;

  • Provide analytics (and limited advertising measurement, if used).



You can control cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.





4. Analytics and Advertising



We may use analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude) to understand how users interact with the Services. These services use cookies and similar technologies.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.


Forecast AI does not sell personal information or share your financial data for third-party marketing.





5. How We Share Your Information



We may share information:


  • Service Providers: vendors that help us operate the Services (hosting, analytics, support, security, payments).

  • Plaid: to facilitate financial account connections (see Section 1).

  • Corporate Transactions: in connection with merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (subject to confidentiality).

  • Legal/Compliance: to comply with law or legal process; to protect rights, property, or safety; or to prevent fraud/abuse.

  • With Your Consent/Direction: when you authorize sharing (e.g., with an advisor or partner).



We do not share your financial information with third parties for their own advertising/marketing.





6. How We Protect Your Information



We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, security monitoring). No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access.





7. Retention of Information



We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Aggregated/de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.





8. Third-Party Links and Features



The Services may link to or integrate with third-party sites and tools (e.g., financial institutions, Plaid, SSO providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review them before sharing information.





9. Children’s Privacy



The Services are intended for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it promptly.





10. Your Choices



  • Marketing: Unsubscribe via the link in our emails or email privacy@forecastapp.ai.

  • Account/Data: Update or delete your account information in-app or email us.

  • Cookies: Adjust browser settings to manage cookies.






11. Notice to California Residents



Forecast AI does not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may request access, correction, deletion, and to opt out of any “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Submit requests to privacy@forecastapp.ai. We will verify your identity as required before fulfilling requests.





12. Notice to Nevada Residents



We do not sell “personally identifiable information” as defined by Nevada law. Nevada residents may still submit opt-out requests to privacy@forecastapp.ai; we will maintain them for compliance.





13. Changes to This Privacy Policy



We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates with a new “Last Updated” date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice (e.g., email or in-app). Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect signifies acceptance.

Forecast AI uses Plaid Inc. to connect your financial accounts.
